Appellate Practice

•Numerous appeals to U.S. and State Courts of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court over the years since 1969
•Has obtained numerous victories in defense of lower court judgments in the Maryland Court of Special Appeals
•Has successfully opposed Petitions for Writs of Certiorari in the Court of Appeals (Rogers v. Eastport Yachting Co. and Hollander v. Rawson)

Real Estate Development and Land Use

•Representation of property owners in development process.

Real Estate Litigation

•Trial of numerous jury/court real estate cases involving adverse possession claims and prescriptive easement claims asserted by adjoining property owners
•Successfully defended adverse possession cases in waterfront properties, in extended jury trials

Liquor Board Experience

•Representation of applicants for and holders of liquor licenses in Howard County before the Liquor Board
•Representation of liquor license holders in opposition to applications for new or modified liquor licenses by others

Healthcare and Medical Malpractice Litigation

•Representation of doctors and other medical personnel before Med-Chi, State Board of Physician Quality Assurance, before Hospital Review Boards on privileges hearings; and in trial level courts on privileges disputes & in administrative tribunals
•Available to serve as a mediator in complex construction disputes
•Defense of Asbestos manufacturers in Product Liability claims

Green Building and Sustainability
•Member of the Green Building and Sustainability Industry Group and regular attendee of Associated Builders and Contractors Association functions which address these issues from a contract and litigation standpoint

Cyber Security and Information Privacy
•Member of the Cyber Security Industry Group which studies the continual evolution of cyber security from both business and military perspectives
