Overview
Emily is a native of South Central Tennessee and graduated from Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Creative Writing. Upon graduating from Centre, Emily obtained her Property and Casualty insurance license in Kentucky and served as the Chief Agent for an insurance agency for two years where she managed nearly $430 million in surety bonds in seven states. During that time Emily performed extensive underwriting and worked with insurance carriers and various state agencies regarding bond riders, bond releases, and issuance of new bonds.
While working full-time in Lexington, Kentucky, for an engineering consulting firm, Emily attended NKU: Chase College of Law's evening program and obtained her Juris Doctor in 2011. Upon graduating from law school, Emily obtained a certification in general civil mediation and served as the Mediation and Public Policy Director for a community liaison firm.
Emily joined the firm as an associate in 2012, and her primary practice areas include insurance defense and surety and fidelity law. Emily is married and is active in her faith and enjoys volleyball, family and friends, ice cream, and civic service activities.
